Sowing Bad Seeds Doesn’t Always Have Immediate Consequences

bad-seeds-consequences

Ecclesiastes 8: 11

When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong.    NLT

Even though the Bible clearly states that we will always reap what we sow, many times we do not suffer the consequences immediately after we have done something wrong.

Because of that, it is easy to lull ourselves into a false sense of security by thinking that we will have plenty of time to change, or that we won’t get caught, or even that we will somehow be able to escape the consequences. It is easy to make ourselves believe that OUR circumstances are different from anyone else and many times we feel justified in what we did, just sorry we got caught.

It is very easy to let Satan lull you into a false sense of security about reaping what you have sown.

John 10:10 says that Satan’s plan is to steal, kill and destroy, so he wants to do that to you. He will plan, connive, and tell you any amount of lies to make you think you are getting away with something without consequences. Then when the time of sowing comes he is nowhere to be found, or more than that he is probably laughing hysterically because he was able to fool you into thinking something was not truth. Either way, all he cares about is destroying your life any way he can.

God wants you to have the best life possible and He has set out laws and promises in the Bible so that you can consistently live “His Best Life.”

Read the Bible, find out its truths, and choose each day to walk in them. You will find that you will reap an awesome and abundant crop when you continuously sow good seeds.

The Difference Between Sanctification And Justification

I didn’t really understand the meaning of these two words until after I had been a Christian for several years. I heard the words “justification” and “sanctification” spoken about often by preachers, but their explanations always made me feel that neither word was something that I (being only a normal person) would ever be… Continue Reading
