How A Word From God Can Radically Affect Your Life

no frustration in the center of gods will

I woke up at 3 am on March 4, 2011, with this strong thought from the Holy Spirit.

People get frustrated and burnt out when they do things that are not what God has told them to do.

But… when you are in the center of His Will, the ideas come at break-neck speed and you find that you absolutely cannot carry all them out without God sending others to help you and share your vision.

If it is possible, I write things down immediately when I feel the Holy Spirit has spoken. He has never spoken audibly, but when it is your heart’s desire to hear Him, He finds plenty of ways to make Himself known to your mind and spirit. And a few times He has spoken so loudly that it felt as if someone were sitting next to me speaking directly to me.

I keep a file of phrases, paragraphs, quotes, and Bible verses that the Holy Spirit has shown me will be the topic for an article. But sometimes they sit in the file for months or years before it is the right time to share them. I have found that the timing of God is always perfect, and what you share will minister greatly if it has God’s Anointing upon it and is shared in His Timing.

When I came across this Word from God, I knew it was time to share. This is October 2015 as I am writing this post, and what the Holy Spirit gave me in March of 2011 has been proven to be true over and over again in my life.

I wish I could remember what I was going through at the time. Was I trying to do too many things that were not ordained by God? I’m not sure, but I do know that it was the first time I had a complete understanding of what it would mean to have the flow of my life and work be in sync with the timing and anointing of God upon what I do.

It was a huge revelation, and one that I have never forgotten.

I am not a naturally creative person, and I am totally amazed at all the cute and creative ideas on Pinterest. I could never look at an old piece of junk or torn up furniture and think of a really cool and creative way to use it as a decorative piece for my home.

But my life has radically changed since I now understand that it’s a waste of time to start a ministry or project if God has not told me to do it – even if I think it is something great. But when I ask God what He wants me to do and walk in obedience to Him, great ideas pop into my head that I never had before.

There is always a big project the Holy Spirit has laid on my heart to start. My biggest problem NOW is time to do it and what priority to give it compared to the other important things I am doing. And I have learned (the hard way) that if God has told me to do something, it is important that I do it – even if others think it is trivial and meaningless. It is important to God, so it is important to me.

I have also learned that you must acquire patience if you are to flow in sync with God. I admit that has been a hard thing for me to acquire. In my earlier years, I was one of the most impatient people on the planet. If I decided I wanted something, I WANTED IT NOW!

But once you make up your mind to wait on God and allow Him to open the door of direction, He will work in your life in ways you never imagined. It truly is worth it to wait on Him.

At the time I am writing this post I am waiting for God to open the spiritual door for something in my life that I KNOW He initiated. I had no plans on my own to do this particular thing, and it has been a long time of waiting. But in this long process, God has revealed many things about Himself that I would have never known had He just given me what He promised immediately. I still don’t like waiting, but now I can see why it’s necessary.

God loves you so much that He wants to do everything possible to prune and grow you so that you can bear the most fruit possible. Sometimes this is a hard process, but the luscious, sweet fruit that becomes a part of your life changes you in ways you never imagined.

Your Eye Is The Lamp Of Your Body

Luke 11:33-36   No one, having lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under the grain measure, but upon the lampstand, in order that those who are entering from time to time, may see the light. When your eye is in single focus, sound, and fulfilling its function, also your whole body is well… Continue Reading
