Do you Pray for the Salvation of Others?

July 17th, 2008 · 3 Comments · Christianity, cross, faith, God, Jesus Christ, Religion, Uncategorized, video

We love to dwell on the goodness of God. It is true that He wants to bless His Children, but in the First Chapter of Acts He calls us to be missionaries wherever we are and spread the Good News about what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Every Christian knows someone who has never believed in Jesus as His personal Savior, and most of us have someone in our own extended family. We see the same people everyday and many times they may never know that we are a Christian because we don’t talk about it.

Hell is a literal place, and every person (good or bad) will go there who has not accepted Jesus as personal Savior. This video really made me think about how I need to have a much greater passion for the lost. God expects me to live my life in a way that others will know that I have something they desperately need.

You don’t have to be a preacher, professor, or Bible theologian; just tell them what a difference God has made in your life. Let them see that you handle problems differently and have a peace and joy that can only come from your Heavenly Father.

What you do has a much greater impact on others than what you say. Talk is cheap, but actions are gold. Ask God to give you a heart for the lost and live your life in a way that truly shows how Great your God is.

I do pray for the salvation of others, not just individuals but for society as well.

Outside of the hell that many people live through today, a hell that man has made for himself and others, how do we know that there is a literal place called Hell? A place God created for the eternal punishment for finite sins of his children?

In my experience, this picture of God that we show others is detrimental to the success of the Great Commission.

I think praying for the salvation of others is essential. We can evangelize, preach and minister as much as humanly possible, but, to a great extent, when we do so we are still battling flesh and blood. Praying for the salvation of other is one way of taking that battle to the spiritual realm where we can get some real help.
