If the size of the vision that you have for your ministry and life isn’t intimidating to you, there’s a good chance it is insulting to God. –Steven Furtick-
God is looking for people all over the world who will say, “God, what do you want me to do?” Then He wants them to be open to hear His answer and walk in obedience to it.
The Christian life might seem hard, but it all boils down to the two sentences above. Every day we should get up and ask the Holy Spirit to show us what we need to do – then when an opportunity arises, we will already be prayed up and ready for the challenge.
God already knows that He is fully capable of meeting our every need or solving any problem, no matter how large or small. He created the world, universe, heavens, and everything you see plus millions of thing we will never be able to see with human eyes.
He has power that is unlimited, uncomprehendable, and so much of it that absolutely nothing is too hard or too impossible for Him to handle. But He wants to use you to accomplish supernatural things – things that you would never be able to accomplish in your own power. The problem for most of us, though, is that we will only believe what we can see personally or only believe what we can imagine from the limited earthly view we have obtained. If we can’t imagine it, we seem to have a hard time believing it.
But God is supernatural so He can see how everything will work out in the end. With that information in hand, He purposely chooses to ask me to do something that I could never be capable of doing on my own. He knows that nothing is impossible for Him to accomplish, but I CAN’T SEE THAT so He wants me to be so sure of Him that I will blindly trust Him to work everything out.
The Bible says that without faith you cannot please God, so that means if I am not attempting anything beyond my means or abilities that I will not be able to please Him. God takes the impossible and makes it possible, while at the same time he is trying to grow us, stretch us, and make our roots so strong that they will not break in hurricane force winds.
What might look awful to us and totally impossible is what God may have chosen to use to show us His Glory!
Exodus 14: 1-3
At Etham the Lord said to Moses:
2 Tell the people of Israel to turn back and camp across from Pi-Hahiroth near Baal-Zephon, between Migdol and the Red Sea. 3 The king will think they were afraid to cross the desert and that they are wandering around, trying to find another way to leave the country. 4 I will make the king stubborn again, and he will try to catch you. Then I will destroy him and his army. People everywhere will praise me for my victory, and the Egyptians will know that I really am the Lord.
I want the Spirit of God to do such a mighty work in my life that people around me sense it and are affected by God’s Spirit on me rather than me being affected by people around me who are negative, critical, or just plain rebelling against the Word of God.
A WORD OF WARNING: Do not step out on faith for something unless you know you are walking in the Will of God. The Holy Spirit shows you what to do and you obey. Never attempt something big without the guidance of the Holy Spirit instigating it first. If you do, it will probably end in frustration, disappointment, or something much worse.
Make the choice right now that you will follow God and walk in His richest blessings for your life. You certainly won’t be bored!
