I have received this in an email several times, but as I read it this time it made me think more about my life and how much I limit God by my lack of faith. I put Him in a box many times by expecting Him to do things in a certain way or in a certain time.

I forget that God is not limited to my own small mind that sometimes thinks it knows exactly the right way to do everything, but really doesn’t know that much at all compared to a God who created the world and everything in it.

I look down the list and see that some of the people God used most were what we might consider to have been the biggest failures. We probably would have looked at them and thought there was no hope of them ever being used by God. Not only did He use them, but He radically changed their life and they became part of the earthly lineage of Jesus Christ Himself.

What a Great Redeemer we have who not only looks down and sees us as we are, but also looks past that to see what He wants us to become.

Don’t let your failures keep you from letting God use you in an awesome way!!

The next time you feel like GOD can’t use you, just remember…

Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem

Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a harlot
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked

Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying

Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer..AND
Lazarus was dead!

And don’t forget,
Jesus Helped them all!!!!

Now!
No more excuses!
God can use you to your full potential.

Besides you aren’t the message,
you are just the messenger.
