Are You Really Able to Give God Your Burdens?

Why oh why do we continue to let all our burdens, problems, cares and needs weigh us down to the point that we can’t be an effective Christian and accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God?

God looks down at His Children and can’t understand why we are so insistent on bearing burdens that He could so easily carry to greatly lighten our load. We stress ourselves out when there is no need.

From the moment you awake in the morning, make it a point to cast everything upon Him, and see how much better your day goes. He is concerned about the smallest of needs or problems in your life.

Satan wants you to think that God doesn’t have time to handle the everyday small worries you encounter. Because of that way of thinking, how many times have you struggled under their ever increasing weight and been extremely stressed by the end of the day; then it profoundly affected your relationship with your family at the end of the day.

Determine right now that you will live each day by applying I Peter 5: 7 to your life:

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

God won’t let you down. He truly wants to bear your burdens and cares about even the most minute detail of your everyday life.

As problems come up during the day, make it a point to deliberately give them to God and tell Him you just can’t take them on and you must have His help. He will come to your rescue in a mighty way.

I would love to give credit, but I have no idea of the author. It sure gives a great word picture of what can happen when we rebel and determine to do things our own way no matter what God says. Sometimes I think it takes Him much longer to answer our prayers because we have messed things up trying to make something happen ourselves. Then He has to undo our damage before He can make things right.

All the while, then, we find ourselves thinking about how slow God is. If we could just see things from His perspective, we would find that we can trust Him with every detail and know that He will work everything out for the best.

I came across an anonymous quote the other day that I put in a place where I can see it every day to help me remember its point:

PATIENCE IS ALSO A FORM OF ACTION

God loves His Children with a love that we can’t even imagine. Trust Him to supply your needs and work on your behalf.

What happens sometimes when we try to do it ourselves!
