When you look at this picture, what is the first thing you think about? Do you look at the whole picture and think how hard it will be to achieve this monumental feat, or do you think you can quite capably accomplish the job by taking one step at the time until you have reached the top?
Concentrate on one step at the time!
Most of us would take one look and decide this would be way too hard to do. We tend to look at the steps as a whole, instead of taking just one at the time over and over again and looking at it in that way.
Only God can see the whole picture, and He knows exactly where you will be in your spiritual life at any given time. He does sometimes lead you up steps that are narrow and steep in order to test your faith because He wants to know just how much you really do love Him.
When the road is steep and things are out of your control, you must learn to depend on Him.
It is His desire for you to look at the steep stairs and choose to take one step at the time in sync with Him until you reach the top. God says that nothing is impossible if you will walk with Him. He will always be right on time to answer your prayers.
The side chains represent holding on to Him for dear life (as the old saying goes,) and the steep stairs represent faith to depend on God to lead and guide you in every decision you make, even if it seems hard at the time.
Ask God to reveal sin in your life and truly repent of it. Then hang on for an awesome adventure because He does things in a much greater way that you can ever imagine.
